The Boronia CWA Branch was formed on 30th
April, 1937 in the Boronia Progress Hall. Early meetings of the branch were
held in members’ homes or the supper room of the Progress Hall. Our meetings
are now held in our hall at 4 Sun Dew Avenue, Boronia.
Over the years branch members have met the aims of the
Country Women’s Association of Victoria Inc. which are to improve the
conditions of women and children through community service.
We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 10.30
am and a craft morning is held at10.00am on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the above address. A General meeting is not held in January and craft
days are not held in January and December.
The Association is not just about ‘tea and scones’ as we
raise funds for medical research, lobby both State and Federal Governments on
issues concerning members, and distribute goods to communities in the South
Pacific Islands.
Membership is open to women of all ages so why not come
along and learn more about the Association as a whole and make new friends.
